Philips HX6511/50 Sonicare EasyClean complete overview/review
All Sonicare toothbrushes are designed in a way that makes them superior at plaque removal over manual brushing. This is achieved by the patented “Sonicare” technology feature which effectively removes plaque, even between the teeth by creating a sweeping motion of the bristles while at the same time drives fluid between teeth. With a combination of the “Sonicare” vibrations and the fluid being driven between teeth, it cleans and stimulates the gums. This helps to reduce gum recession, inflammation, gingivitis and removes significantly more plaque than a manual brush.
The Sonicare brush heads are designed with a special shape to them so that they fit snuggly along the gum line and also fit the contours of the teeth. This provides optimal surface coverage of teeth during brushing, helps in cleaning between teeth and helps remove plaque bacteria which hide below the gum line.
The Philips HX6511/50 Sonicare EasyClean has an ergonomically tapered handle for easy control and use. The brush head is set at an angle which helps to brush hard to reach places in the mouth such as back teeth. Very little pressure is needed when using the Philips Sonicare EasyClean and there is also no need to use any scrubbing motion. The toothbrush will do all the hard work for you!
All electric toothbrushes give off vibrations but Philips Sonicare brushes are more excessive. The Sonicare vibrations feel quite strange and people have reported a strong tickling sensation that can take some time to get used too. As you get accustomed to the Philips Sonicare toothbrush this sensation will diminish. Philips has added a feature to this brush which gradually introduces you to the Philips Sonicare experience by gently increasing the power over 14 days.
To ensure even brushing throughout your mouth Philips Sonicare EasyClean has a “Quadepacer” feature which gives a short beep and pause every 30 seconds. By doing this it allows you to brush each section of you teeth in 4 quadrants (30 seconds for each quadrant). There is also a “Smartimer” which automatic lay switches the toothbrush off after 2 minutes if brushing. This eliminates the guessing of when you have reached the optimum 2 minutes brushing duration.
Philips HX6511/50 Sonicare EasyClean reviews and ratings
Because this is a fairly new model that has been introduced to the market by Philips, it has a very little number of owner reviews. However, the small number of reviews that I have found out there (4) are very positive and this is looking like a very promising electric toothbrush.
Two reviews out of the four rated this toothbrush 5/5, one person rated it 4/5 and the final person gave it a 1/5. I should just mention that the reviewer who rated it 1/5 was not happy because it came with a 2 pin plug but this is a simple problem to resolve. It also looks like the person used it once and didn’t like it without giving it a chance.
I would not let this single negative review put you off buying this though as the positive reviewers are more than happy with this product. One person has been using this toothbrush consistently for 6 months, is still more than pleased and reports a noticeable difference with their teeth.
